Kirstyn Wright is a wildlife and Western artist focusing on Texas and Southwestern imagery. She grew up an hour northwest of Fort Worth in the ranching and rodeo community of Wise County. These formative years are still prominent in the motifs and stories she tells in her art. Kirstyn Has a BFA in sculpture from Abilene Christian University and is currently working on her MFA in painting at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. The mythologies and icons of The American West—and specifically Texas— continue to be primary subjects Kirstyn researches and depicts.
